Jeffrey Sloan was staring at his school, heart churning a little. St. Tadgh’s had three claims to fame, and only one of them was cold comfort. That was, of course, that graduates went on to gain incredible scholarships, were headhunted by the best colleges, took on powerful careers, and changed the world. That was, in fact, the reason that his parents were paying for him to go to the prestigious institution, despite his B-average grades.
