The little Mexican cafe seemed quieter than usual when Avery walked in, school bag over her shoulder. Where normally the tables were filled with happy, chattering patrons, today it was empty apart from a very smart-looking middle-aged man who sat alone at one of the tables nursing a coffee. The sweet blonde ten year old didn’t think too much of it – some days were sure to be busier after all and she was out of school a little early.
